People keep saying The Office has gone down hill, jumped the shark, stopped being funny, etc. I somewhat felt that way here and there throughout last season and parts of this, but tonight I went back and watched 3 episodes I had missed, and they were all great.
Yes some of the characters have become a little more cartoonish over the 7 seasons, but that happens with almost all sitcoms, and most the characters its happened with were the more cartoonish ones to begin with.
IGN.TV used to review a lot of shows, but recently they've been posting "hate" articles about the office. They've got some guy who seems to write 12 paragraph articles every week about how The Office has gone down hill. I disagree.
I am definitely dreading the loss of Michael Scott, and I wish they would end the show with his departure, but I'm going to enjoy this season instead of overanalyzing it and bitching about it like most people seem to. It's still funnier, smarter, and more awkward than most of the comedies on tv.

Yeah, I still love it. I actually think even when Michael Scott is gone it'll be great. I think every character on the show is so good.

I stopped watching a season or two ago, but I have heard that the newest season was actually pretty good. I don't know what's going to happen when Steve Carrel leaves though, those will be some pretty big shoes to fill.

Considering I'm British, I find the american office funnier than the English version, then again, I can't stand Ricky Gervais, at all. So maybe that is not so much of a surprise.

I agree that it's still funny. A couple episodes focused too much on Andy, but overall I have enjoyed this season. I think the show is best when they create clever things for the minor characters, like Creed, Kevin, or Meredith, to do, but are believable enough that a real person, albeit eccentric, might actually do them. One thing I don't like is that it appears Erin is now stupid, when she was just naive before.

Sure it has been going downhill, but it's still better than most everything else on TV. Then again the only show that I watch that's new is The Big Bang Theory. It's so nice to come back to my room after class rewind the tape and watch the new episode of the show on Thursdays.

I remember hearing season six wasn't too good, but I watched it on netflix recently and laughed my ass off the whole time. the first episode of season 7 was a little weak, but every episode after that I've enjoyed quite a bit
Oh, come on, don't leave your uncle T-Bag hangin'!
