What about headphones, but no goggles?
I also like the headphone-less one and I think I like goggles better than headphones.

when you say 'new mascot for racketboy' do you mean a new mascot for the website? or a new mascot for you profile picture? and if it is a new mascot for the website, was your profile picture the original mascot?

I'm not sure I love the idea of making a mascot that LOOKS like the Jet Set Radio guy.

I think I'd have to see it to be sure. I don't see why it wouldn't work though!

The proportions and pose make it look like a crappy Gaia avatar.

I definitely think he needs to be taller. Make him at least look semi-normal!

Gotta be careful with all that detail. Turning it into pixels a lot of that will have to go to keep it from turning into a colored mess. Also need to think about how it looks both blown up and shrunk down. Obviously most of us aren't allergic to large pixels, but will it just turn into a blob when shrunk?

I think that it currently has too many details, it won't look good when you pixel it. I think the headphones add too much cluter to the hair, I prefer the normal one.

Theres lots of talented people on these forums. What about having a mascot contest? Who would be better to make a mascot then the hardcore members of these forums? Obviously keeping within the theme Racket is looking for of course.

When I say "mascot", I'm thinking something to actually be included in the site design, used for potential t-shirts, etc.

Is there something to change in the character that would make him fit more into the personality of the site? I guess I wanted something that would feel familiar to veterans, but also would say something to the site to new visitors.

Is it a bad idea to have Beat be the inspiration?

Forum members are welcome to put out some ideas, but I'd like Dave to be the one to do the final work. I just really like his style. :D
