Console Icon Creation

I took a whack at making a Genesis 3 icon cuz i couldn't find one anywhere... i don't really think it's up to snuff though... any thoughts, criticism? anyone got the skills to make a good one (or make this one a bit more proper), cuz i don't so much. here it is:

being totally honest: i think it sucks.

if you didn't say what system it was, i would have had no idea. it just looks to grainy. i don't mean to be an ass, but you asked thoughts on it.

I kind of agree. I thought it was a Genesis with a 32x on top.

i searched first, did i miss something? copying and pasting them isn't the same as making them, i didn't want to put this in my first post about these cuz that one is pretty much done, and well, different (enough)

my response may have been a bit blunt. and i am sorry.

i don't know the process you went through to make it, but if i was going to do one of these this is what i would do:

- measure the genesis and get the dimensions of everything
- draw/paint a bigger scale version of it; drawing a bigger version seems much easier to work with then doing a small one right off the start
- once you have mastered the big boy version just redraw everything down to the size you want, using the big boy version as a template

i have no artist skill, but this may or may not help.
