I suppose a headset is requisite?

The emotes will allow you to get your point accross (hold start and press L1/L2, R1/R2 or directions on the dpad), but there is no type to chat system. I have only come across a few people who actually use a headset.

edit: Oh, and Amazon dropped the price to $20 last weekend. Another good incentive to get your feet wet.

I found it for under $20 at Target, too.

I've become completely sold on this game. It looks really good, and I'm gonna be buying it soon. I just have one last question. I heard that you can only import your personally designed character after you've beaten the games single player. But what about the split-screen play? Can that be done from the beginning? And is the split-screen only for co-op or is it also available for the versus multiplayer?

So I fell asleep playing the demo...

Granted I was tired, but the control scheme seemed unnecessarily complex and everything was chaotic but somehow still boring. After Resistance 2, I think I'll be hard pressed to find a better co-op experience on PS3.

Well, you've got me, I'll be buying the game too. I remember getting excited for this game, playing both demo's, then not wanting to spend the 60 bucks on it when it finally came out. But for 20 bucks new? That's a deal I just can't pass up. I'll finally be getting this game from amazon in maybe a couple of weeks.
