diablo 2 anyone?

Ok its been years now that I last played this game, then today I REALLY started trying to find a game JUST like it, well..there are a couple but nothing is JUST like the diablo series. Not to a true diablo fan anyway.

I am reinstalling the games right now directly from blizzard due to still haveing a cd key, but no cds *nice little registration*

I am looking for a couple people to play with, just to kill some cows, do a little mf'in, rush a few members...just lookin to play the game and enjoy it for the great blizzard title it is. D3 wont be out for...awhile, god only knows, I have heard about d3 since back when diablo 2 was only a 1.08 patch, several years later, we have seen game play...no demo.

Anyway, is anyone still playing? anyone looking to play a few rounds? I will be joing up on the eastcoast.

I do not know how things are on the east coast but the servers are filled with bots. Also little to no trading for items happens in game. It is all done on some website for what is know as forum gold which you can purchase with real money or trade items for. I love Diablo 2 and after the promise of new stuff in the patch I was really looking forward to the later reset. Low and behold no new content was added other than stat resets.

I do not see a point to continue playing a game when most of the public games contain cheaters. IE loaders having people stand idle in game so that they can gain more XP and have better chance of items dropping. Or they are using bots to find items. (I do not like playing with cheaters). I know cheating is a part of every game.

If there are enough people from the forums all playing in private games I may join you though .

Do you play hardcore or softcore/normal?

I dont know what I am going to play yet probly just softcore to play.

Bots have always been a part of diablo though, I used to run one WAY back when, just to get alot of items to sell my account and stop playing.

I will end up using a friends sorc to start, just due to it being maxd out and I can use it to do some MF runs and hopefully find some gear to start a new char. I was always an amazon kinda guy. But takes gear to make one.

I will split stuff 50 50 though lol not just horde it and run away if you wanna play some

I might be up for playing some as long as one of us is hosting. I don't do cheats of any kind though and I'm on the 1.12 patch with the expansion.

I dont cheat or anything, but I will be on a different account until I find items to make a decent character.

Patch I am on is 1.13c? I believe, .13 anyway. but I can do private games if someone wants to join just have to setup a time

Oh right, I had downloaded 1.13 months ago, but I hadn't played D2 in forever ad hadn't applied it.

Your characters have a limited life if you don't logon to them every 90 days. After that, it becomes a crapshoot if you can access them. Basically the character name goes up for grabs so if someone else makes a character with that name you can't get it back.

I absolutely love Diablo 2 and have played it on and off for the games whole entirety but man I don't know if I can stand to get hooked yet again. There is entirely too much duping / botting etc that goes on that make it rather annoying to play with anybody that isn't a friend.

You could shoot for a realm combination that doesn't have a lot of people playing. I remember after the last ladder reset, I made a classic hardcore non ladder character, played into the mid 50s and NEVER saw any other game or any person join my game. That's how empty some of the realms can be.

That's why you don't play on Bnet or with random people.
