Who has it? Who's getting it? Who's not getting it?
I really want to play it but I'm afraid it will lack replayability like Fable 2 did. I kind of want to just rent it.
Do you think everything could be completed in a week like it's predecessor?

Re: Fable III
I don't know about everything, but from Joystiq and Eurogamer's reviews I reckon this is more of Fable II albeit more streamlined this time around. People are beginning to realise how overrated Fable as a franchise has been and therefore will be less critical toward those who don't think the world of Peter Molyneux's flagship series.
Still getting it though, just not so soon. Can't say no to Albion/John Cleese/Stephen Fry!

Re: Fable III
I'm hearing rumors that Fable 3 might also be on PC? This would piss me off, since they didn't port Fable 2 to PC. I don't have a 360, so here's hoping I can get a PC port of both games!

Re: Fable III
They have confirmed that it will be released for the PC, Ziggy. I pre-ordered from Amazon. Got the limited edition this time. I'm looking forward to it. Fable is one of my favorite series. Right now all my gaming time will be between that and Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare.

Re: Fable III
I finished Fable II not too long ago, I found it fairly enjoyable. If its up to the same standard then im sure it will be a good game.
Looking forward to it.

Re: Fable III
They confirmed the third one for PC but not the second one, right? Still kinda sucks that I wont get to play the second one. I like to play them in order, mostly because most of the time after you play a later entry in the series and earlier one doesn't seem as good.puke_face wrote:They have confirmed that it will be released for the PC, Ziggy.
Re: Fable III
The only thing that even mildly interests me about this game is seeing what Molyneux once again promised and once again didn't deliver.

Re: Fable III
I'll be picking this up when it drops down to like 20-30 dollars, Fable is one of my favorite games but Fable II, while a good game, just didnt hold up as well for me, the quests didnt seem to have as much variety and there seemed to be a lot of focus on the extra parts of the game, like getting married and having a lot of real estate, etc. I'm sure Fable III will be a good game, but not something i am rushing to get
Re: Fable III
What, exactly, is the appeal of these games? They don't seem to appeal to either my WRPG or JRPG sensibilities...what series are they most like?

Re: Fable III
That is correct. Fable II never has came out on the PC. I don't think they plan on releasing it anytime soon. There will be a Fable III for the PC, the standard edition from what I've heard. Not like Fable: The Lost Chapters.Ziggy587 wrote:They confirmed the third one for PC but not the second one, right? Still kinda sucks that I wont get to play the second one. In my opinion it's similar to World of Warcraft, but in a different universe, not as much online interaction, and with better in-game features. It's one of those games that you can spend however much time you want to spend on it. There are several different little things you can do. Or you can just play the story and get on with your life. I really like the versatility that the game offers.dsheinem wrote:What, exactly, is the appeal of these games?
