What about the MLS?
Ah, forgot about soccer. That goes between the NHL and NBA.

I'm going to take this on a different topic for a quick second.

This is a select crowd, so I'm ore interested in your opinions than tarting a new topic where mostly the response will be "Madden sux!". So:

Anyone else here sincerely miss the console "no-monopoly" licensed sports war? Games like: Mutant League Football only on Genesis.
Ken Griffey Jr. Major league Baseball.

See, I do like Madden. Love NCAA Football too. But this pinch on game companies who can't afford a specific license really stifles programmers creativity, and there is no doubt in my mind that our pals at EA already have Madden 2015 75% finished.

I'm going to get a little touchy here, but I know that competition = increased performance (unless someone just doesn't g.a.f). If JT and I ever meet, one of us will beat Ninja Gaiden in Seventeen minutes. Rivalry is great, and without it, what is the motivation to evolve? I know they own dozens of companies, but I'd love to see EA and the NFL allow more developers to use NFLPA licenses; even if that means EA creates, owns, and competes against a company they own. It's good business. When I noticed a Yahoo!slurp and found out Yahoo! was selling my product online, I set up a sales account with Yahoo! Win, win.

YES.

Maybe we would have sports games for Nintendo. And maybe Tecmo Koei could re-release Tecmo Bowl how it should be released. Maybe we could go back to the days where we actually had a choice! Back to the early 2000s, where EA and 2K were in battle...

2K game play with Madden graphics would outsell HALO/METROID/STREET FIGHTER/with a dash of some half naked chicks TOURNAMENT.

Does the B in MLB stand for Baseball? How can you guys watch that ....... can't call it a sport really.... game.

Didn't watch the game though :(. Had to wake up early the next day. Aren't 88 and 80 points a bit few for an NBA game?

my prediction was correct! :P

but i gotta be honest, the Heat started to look good at the end..just a little too late. i think they will be a different team come June once they get it together but i still pick the Celtics to beat them in the playoffs if they face each other (or the Magic).

definitely. Don't get me wrong -- we played well. But they played like crap for almost 3 quarters!

BTW, sorry wasn't on IRC. My wife decided to watch the game with me, which she hadn't really done last season, so I was excited that she was into it again. I stopped by IRC during halftime looking for you & Luke though.

I was on IRC by myself for a few minutes then moved on.

Could have been fun.
