Dracula X had better graphics, snappier & tighter gameplay, better music (based on my preference for synths) and did it all at the loss of only a single level and a playable character not to mention it had more content in the end that Rondo.

In the end it was a CD based game crammed into a cart and it does what it did extremely well.

P.S. - I HATE Castlevania elitists who say every game aside from III, IV and the Metroidvanias are bad.
Whoa... having a rough day?
Lol, a bit. It's been pretty crazy on my end lately.

I've run into a lot of CV elites before though. They tick me off almost as much as Smash Bros. tourney players. Never meant to call anyone that though, just meant it to be a jab against the common "this is bad because person X thinks so" that Dracula X always gets.

Hehe. have you ever played with people that fight tooth and nail to turn items off? Drives me crazy. It's part of the game people!

No worries. Rough days happen. I know I get my share. I'm living like Lukemorse1 did before his change. :?

I do like Dracula X alot, but I always preferred IV simply because I had much more fun with it, I like being able to swing the whip in any direction, I like Simon better as a character, I like the level design better, etc. Just my two cents. :P

As far as the music goes I can't really say which I like better. Very close.
