Why is the Gamecube cheaper than N64/SNES/NES?

And Beer is God's gift for all what ails us.

But let's talk about gamecubes and affordability!

Are all US released GC's affected by this current era of not being expensive?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

GameCubes are far as I've seen are the cheapest of any system, even a fat PS2. I see tons of $10 cube+controller+memory bundles. The only real reason I'd see wanting one is if you wanted the Game Boy Player. Other than that, why not just snarf a Wii and have access to so many more options?

although Cube + Free Loader is probably a bit easier for playing imports.

There's the Gamecube BBA, Game Boy Player, and the Gamecube Action Replay disc. All very good reasons to keep your 'Cube.

No mandated update to kill this:

A great SNES EMU for the Gamecube, on a SD card. Unfortunatly that the Wii version won't work with the latest updates.

Trivia question
How many SD cards can fit inside the empty non PCB area of a NES cart?
