Why is the Gamecube cheaper than N64/SNES/NES?
Why is the Gamecube cheaper to buy than the N64, SNES or NES?? Is it just because the other systems are older, that would almost be a reason they should be cheaper than the Gamecube. Check out Ebay or even local ads and shops. I picked up a GameCube the other day for $15 dollars with 1 controller, all cords and a memory card. Everything works great. I am looking for an original SNES and people are wanting anywhere from $40 and up for those. Anyone know why???

It's last gen's tech. Too common to be expensive. Too new to be nostalgic. Buy now or you'll regret later.NintenBroke wrote:Why is the Gamecube cheaper to buy than the N64, SNES or NES?? Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Re: Why??
It's probably because the Wii can play Gamecube games.

Re: Why??
Do you mean the Gameboy player for the Gamecube or something different? I got the player already. I took advantage of the opportunity and got the Cube as I never had one before. I always wait and buy last generation stuff, I mean $15 bucks compared to $215 when it was new with tax, no brainer, but the graphics and sound are so superior to the other systems that I mentioned I just can't get over the fact that the older, technologically inferior equipment is commanding a higher price. I will wait till I run accross a good deal at a yard sale or something. Had the NES and SNES growing up and would like another just for old times sake, but for now I'll just play most of the roms on my DS till a good deal comes along.CRTGAMER wrote:Get the GC GBA while you can too, 10 bucks at Gamestop.molotovwars wrote:Well said.Flake wrote:It's last gen's tech. Re: Why??
It's surprisingly hard to find real Gamecube controllers for the same reason. I bought my first gamecube early this year, I have 7 compatible controllers, and 3 controller converters, but the default original controllers are nowhere to be found in town, and are pretty expensive online.
