I am not a fan of Will Farrel

Post by lordofduct »

Personally I don't really like Will Farrel (how ever you spell that), but I found this really cute and funny video today with him in it. I can say now that there is ONE video with him in it that actually makes me laugh.

I don't like him either but that is one of the funniest things online, been around for a bit now so you might not get many replies.

I'm not much of a fan of his either, but watch "Elf".
It's awesome and my favorite Christmas movie ever :)

Saw this clip a while back. Is that his kid or something? It seemed like a little home movie he created. It's ok, I guess. I'm not really a fan of him either. I felt that the writers have given him so much good material, and a good chunk of it was still funny despite his lack of talent. If I'm ever laughing at his stuff, it's always because of hilarious or insane dialog or character concepts, and definitely not at his performance.

Never seen it but, you'd say it's better than Xmas Vacation or A Xmas Story?

I haven't see Christmas Vacation in a long time, so it's hard to compare, but I laugh more with Elf than A Christmas Story.
It's different. It probably depends on your sense of humor. But I would definitely recommend giving it a try sometime.

I always loved him on SNL, but his movies generally suck.

Elf, however, is great. It looks like its going to be lame, but when you watch it you'll think different. It's seriously one of the best Christmas movies of the last 10 or 15 years. Christmas Story is classic, but it's not really packed with laughs like a modern comedy. Like Racket said, it's different.

Elf isn't as funny as Xmas Vacation in my opinion, but that may be because I watch Vacation with my family almost every year. It's one of those that gets funnier every time you see it, like the Big Lebowski.

That video is well funny.

I saw elf for the first time a couple of weeks ago when it was on TV. I laughed so hard at that film. It really does look lame from the start but it's just so quirky. I love the bit with the midget.

"Call me elf, one more time!"

"He's an angry dwarf!"

"AAARRRGGHHH!!!"

hehehe.

You can't watch a single clip from Elf and think it's terribly funny.
You really have to watch it from the beginning to truly appreciate it.

I agree, but for me that has to be the funniest bit in the film!

I heartily urge everyone to watch Elf during the holiday season!
