post office

Post by lildeemo »

Does anyone here suffer with a bad post office?
i dont know if its just the time of year or something but iv been waiting for a few packages for a while now that i ordered off ebay and some i traded and they still havent arrived.
i know some of the people i traded with got their items but i have yet to get mine.
its just irritating because it gives me a bad name.
or if its the other way round they get a bad name when i know they sent it for sure

anyone have or had problems like these?

I've got a lazy post-guy in my neighborhood who never knocks on the door, just sends you a notice in your box that your item is at the PO, and that he "tried" to see if I was home, which is utter nonsense.

I've had huge headaches with international shipping though.

Other than that, nothing but love for the usps.

With all the problems USPS is having with funding, going to the post office to stand in line when there's only 1 or 2 people working that seemingly hate life sucks. I've never had a problem getting my mail though and in fact I got a new postman a few months ago who's a really nice guy.

As far as proof something was sent, even if you don't opt for insurance and delivery confirmation, if you've paid at the post office you should have a receipt so you can show you sent an item at the least. USPS give you a receipt with the destination postal code or country, weight, and price paid. That should be a reasonable indication that you sent a package if it goes awol along the way. For international I always have to fill out a customs form so there's that number too showing it is in the system until it leaves the country.

iirc lildeemo's experiences are with the UK Post, of which I have no opinion.

I love my local post office (a very small one where they know me) and the employees are generally friendly. I feel like they take care of my packages and despite the hundreds of things I have sent/received I can't recall a single problem.

I sometimes feel bad for my mailman who has to make a special drive back my driveway anytime I get a package too big for the mailbox - which is sometimes several times a week. But he likes to joke about it and is a good guy.

If post office doesn't work for you, you should try something else. Have you ask what can Brown do for you today?

Not exactly reasonable for international packages unless it's the most important package ever.

crookid postman

Post by lildeemo »

i think my postman keeps stealing my packages. iv sent out and been sent a lot of packages recently of which i havent received any of which was something which was worth alot that i sent out and something i payed alot for hasnt been delivered to my house

the postman i speak of deals with pick ups deliveries and outgoing packages in my area.
iv seen him walk into his house several time with packages of which seemed suspicious. i brought this to the main offices attention. they simply said that they have already had many complaints and are undergoing an investigation .
i dont know what to think anymore this man lives 3 doors up from me and i speak to him alot and we have whitty banter.
i guess you dont really know what people will do nowadays and what they are really like
