DC vga cord help.

Well I finally decided to buy a VGA box, but I've never messed with VGA, so I'm really confused... I assumed I would just plug it right into my monitor, but I do, and my screen does nothing, it just tells me no signal. Does that just mean my screen sucks, or did I do something wrong? I don't think its the cord or anything, I get sound from it just fine, I can hear the DC startup thing, then my game start, but just no picture.

what game is it? there are a few that don't use vga. is it original or backup?

Is it the type that Racketboy sells? I have that exact same one, maybe sure you didn't accidentally leave the switch in S-Video mode.

Oops, I meant cord not box, but it was one of rackets, I got it off ebay a few days ago.I tried it with no game in too, so its not just that the game isn't compatible.

Is there a standard VGA cable connecting the VGA adapter to your display?
