Ooof! You're in the early, early netbook category. Do yourself a favour and upgrade! ZSnes and Snes9x work GREAT! :p Those SSDs they put in early netbooks are criminally slow. The chipset has improved tenfold since those machines.MikeyW wrote:I'm currently running XP on an Asus Eee 900 series. The one with the 16GB SSD. It's painfully slow at times and can just about run Fusion, the Megadrive emulator. I'm still having problems with ZSnes and Snes9x.
However, I've read that I've heard that the SSD netbooks are slower that the ones with "proper" hard drives, which I think are in most newer netbooks...
That should do quite nicely. As I said, about the only problem you'll encounter is the odd game that fixes the resolution at 1024x768 or higher, and therefore won't run unless it has a way of being forced to say, 800x600.nickfil wrote:this is the one i was thinking of. Should i grab a better one?
Other than that, go for it!
