...is the 25th anniversary of the North American release of the Nintendo Entertainment System. Just thought I'd let you so you could work it into your schedule.

Yeah, that hasn't been confirmed for the US though. Maybe next week it will be...

Tomorrow is my birthday. Hmmm. Maybe my NES and I will make a compromise and we'll celebrate together. We'll both blow out the candles and make a wish.

also, you guys should pick up the special issue of Nintendo Power # 260. It has special section of the 25th anniversary of NES and revisits some of the best classic game it has to offer.

I got that poster hanging in my classroom. I took mine in and a student brought his for me. So I laminated both so that both sides could prominently be displayed.

*note: Mario (or video games in general) is a HUGE theme in my classroom. I make sure the kids know that there is a reason Mario has 3 lives in a game - trial and error and learning from mistakes in an experiment.
