For the most part, the GBA is on par with the SNES. The only major differences are the GBA's lower screen resolution, and the fact that it has 2 channels of sound, as opposed to the 8 channels of the SNES.

Were there any GBA games hat were enhanced the the gameboy player on the gamecube? Such as more sound channels, resolution, etc.

On the other hand, the GBA does have a much faster 32 bit processor, and twice the RAM of the SNES. So even with the smaller resolution, you get more things on screen, better transparency/scaling/rotating, etc. Compare the FPSs on the GBA to Doom on the SNES for instance.

Have not heard of any that would improve sounds or graphics. seems the SNES screen resolution would be better vs a blown up GBA image though. Although I do enjoy the versatility playing that portable Gameboy cart on the HDTV. GBA Driller would allow your GC controller to vibrate.Merz wrote:Were there any GBA games hat were enhanced the the gameboy player on the gamecube? Such as more sound channels, resolution, etc.

beat me to it.
HOWEVER there were several games (Final Fantasy Tactics Advance comes to mind) that had an option for a screen resolution suitable for TV's (for the GBPlayer).

Reminded me of this. I always thought it would be pretty cool. Though too much work for me.

Pretty sure that some games (mostly those that had "Game Boy Player" in the title sequence) had rumble supported through the GBPlayer. A couple games that come to mind are Super Mario Advance 4: Mario 3 and Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga.
Collects promo gaming stuff, certain import games, hockey memorabilia, and other oddball things. (sig and avy under construction)

When I first got a gameboy player, I thought playing fire emblem on the TV was awesome, if that means anything.
As far as games go, if I had to choose one I'd go with the SNES
