Obviously you don't know what being a "fan" actually means then.YoshiEgg25 wrote: 1. I can like as many teams as I want to, thanks.
2. I started watching baseball when I was four, when I had an early bedtime, so I could only watch the Cubs as they had day games. My dad's a White Sox fan though.Honestly, I don't see why you HAVE to hate the other side. I only root against the Sox when the Cubs are playing them.

LMAO @ this when the other teams you root for have both won the pennant in the past 5 years.

Hey. I go to the games. I watch the games. I root for the team. I just like to list which ones I prefer to root for over others.the King wrote:Obviously you don't know what being a "fan" actually means then.YoshiEgg25 wrote: 1. I can like as many teams as I want to, thanks.

I'd definitely prefer the Cubs go to the playoffs than the other two. There's no doubt I want them to succeed overall. But why root for just one team and hate on all the others?
By the way, I also like the Washington Nationals for having my cousin in their farm system.

Yes, he was, but it was just an example of what if they would of missed calls earlier in the game. You can't just limit the amount of times you should want to get the call right. If you only have 2 challenges per game and there are 3 missed calls then that's still not getting it right.
Re: 2010 MLB Post Season
I'd say you should root for the Nationals over the Sox or Rays, unless they cut your cousin. Then F them.YoshiEgg25 wrote:Hey. I go to the games. I watch the games. I root for the team. If you are a fan of a team that means you follow, root for, whatever want to call it that team. They are your team. They win, you to get to enjoy it. They don't then it sucks, but all that sucking is made up for when/if they win a championship. But thats the thing, you rooted for that team through good and the bad. If you have a bunch of teams you are rooting for then you really aren't a fan of your favorite team. Especially if one is a rival. Part of being a fan is sticking with your team through the good and the bad. It makes the good more enjoyable. You can't relate to a real Cubs fan when you are also rooting for two other teams that have had recent success and one is a rival and won the World Series a couple years ago.

Re: 2010 MLB Post Season
You can never trust Leyland to make the right decisions that's for sure.. And yes they can challenge strikes and balls, just go to the strike zone sensor.. It's not like football when you can look at inconclusive evidence.. They do the exact same thing in tennis to review whether a shot was out or not... The biggest issue is indeed base running... The Posey SB was proof of that and it basically cost Altanta the first game in the NLDS.... Horrible umps like C.B Bucknor are the main reason I'd be willing to challenge a strike-zone call.. He in particular is just brutal..the King wrote:
There was also the homerun that was a foul ball and reviewed and still called a HR. And you won't ever have review for balls and strikes and you shouldn't.
The biggest issue I have with "challenges" is what if say for the Joyce/Gallaraga thing that Leyland uses all his challenges before then? Then the right call doesn't get made because there were close calls or screw ups before that?

I only have basic cable. Like, BASIC, basic - just networks and C-SPAN. I'm really pissed I can't watch the playoffs anymore.

If you have the internet, you definitely can still watch the playoffs.RadarScope1 wrote:I only have basic cable. Like, BASIC, basic - just networks and C-SPAN. I'm really pissed I can't watch the playoffs anymore.
There is the legal way by signing up with mlb.tv.
Then there are plenty of not so legal options by watching it via streaming.

If you go this route, I highly suggest atdhe.net. It has sports from all the major networks, including ESPN, TBS, and all regional variants of ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, TBS, FSN, and Comcast SportsNet. I use that when either I don't get the channel (mainly for CSN, as I can't control what channels I get on campus), if the game I want to watch is blacked out, or if I can't get to a TV to watch.Luke wrote: Then there are plenty of not so legal options by watching it via streaming.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
