The Japanese versions of the NES classics series is known as the Famicom Mini series, and saw many more titles re-released than the US series.

I used to have a list bookmarked on my computer that was of all the SNES games that had sequels, remakes, or ports on the GBA., unfortunately I don't have it anymore. A couple of the sequels that I can remember at the moment:

Super Metroid - Metroid Fusion
EarthBound - Mother 3
Disney's Magical Quest - Magical Quest 2/3 (in NA, at least)

I know there are more..

Here is my list which I'm sure is incomplete. These are all ports or remakes of NES or SNES games. I didn't include the Classic NES or Famicom Mini series as they are a given. Hope this helps!

Breath of Fire
Breath of Fire II
Bubble Bobble: Old & New
Comix Zone (E)
Contra Advance: The Alien Wars EX
Defender of the Crown
Desert Strike Advance
Donkey Kong Country
Donkey Kong Country 2
Donkey Kong Country 3
Doom
Double Dragon Advance
Dr. Mario & Puzzle League
Earthworm Jim
Earthworm Jim 2
Elevator Action: Old & New (J)
Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls
Final Fantasy IV Advance
Final Fantasy V Advance
Final Fantasy VI Advance
Final Fight One
Fire Emblem
Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land
Magical Quest Starring Mickey & Minnie
Magical Quest 2 Starring Mickey & Minnie
Magical Quest 3 Starring Mickey & Donald
Metroid: Zero Mission
Micro Machines (E)
Mother 1+2 (J)
Pac-Man Collection
Phantasy Star Collection
River City Ransom EX
R-Type III
SimCity 2000
Space Invaders
Super Bust-A-Move
Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts
Super Mario Advance: Super Mario Bros. 2
Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World
Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island
Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3
Super Street Fighter II: Turbo Revival
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past & Four Swords
The Lost Vikings
Wolfenstein 3D

There were also ports of Sonic the Hedgehog, Marble Madness, and Paperboy, but they were sub-par at best.

Some of the arcade collections probably contain SNES and NES games as well. Some of which are:

Capcom Classics: Mini Mix
Hudson Best Collection Vol. 1-6
Konami Collector's Series - Arcade Advanced
Midway's Greatest Arcade Hits
Namco Museum - 50th Anniversary
Sega Arcade Gallery

And the first one you should play is Metroid Zero Mission. What a phenomenal remake..
