how do i erase an n64 memory card?

Post by cowgod »

is the only way to erase a memory card with a dexdrive? i bought one used and the card is full, however i have no idea what games the saves are from so i can't delete them that way.

if a dexdrive is my only option, then is there a serial->usb adapter out there? i don't have a serial port on my pc, and as far as i can tell the dexdrive is only equipped with a serial connection.

I haven't had my N64 hooked up in a long time but if I recall correctly, while the memory card is in, hold start while turning on the system and that will take you to the memory card options screen... Hardly any games I had needed it so mine went pretty much unused.

You have the option to delete saves depending on the game that you're playing. Some have a 'manage controller pak' option. I know that Perfect Dark and Turok 2 have these options. Every N64 that does use a Controller Pak should have this option.
