I am new to the Xbox scene. I have played Xbox stuff, but never used Live. Is there any reason to pay for Gold?
By the way, not into multiplayer online gaming.

You just answered your own question. There's other perks, but they're not worth it if you're not going to play online (I don't blame you).wclem wrote:I am new to the Xbox scene. I have played Xbox stuff, but never used Live. Is there any reason to pay for Gold?

If I recall right you need Gold for Netflix or if you want the ESPN stuff.wclem wrote:I am new to the Xbox scene. I have played Xbox stuff, but never used Live. Is there any reason to pay for Gold?

Gold allows you --
- to access online gaming;
- to access the "deal of the week" discounts;
- to access netflix;
- to access ESPN;
- to access the Facebook/Twitter applications;
- to access certain demos.
I don't buy into it either (nor do I play online), and I haven't really felt I've missed anything.

Thanks guys, no need for it then. Seems you can buy just about anything with silver anyway!irixith wrote:Gold allows you --

Re: Why Xbox Gold
Xbox Live Gold is only worth it for online multiplayer and Netflix streaming but otherwise Silver will suffice your needs.

Re: Why Xbox Gold
Everyone covered pretty much everything, ll I have to add is that if you do have Netflix the 360 client is by far the best on consoles. I've been using the PS3 one since I let my Gold subscription expire and it sucks in comparison.
