Good review, as usual. I've always been interested in Katamari, but I've never really given it a shot, outside of a trial game on the iPhone. This has definitely piqued my interest in the series.

Great review! Makes me want to go back and dust this one off.
Pikes my interest to get the follow up We Love Katamari.

Obligatory, as in Shadow Colossus a unique type of gameplay.

I just wish the rolling ball would be controlled with digital pad and the four buttons.
I would love to play this game in true Arcade Twinstick mode.
A temptation to mod the old PSX Flight Stick.

CRTGAMER, the PSP sequel and latest game in the series, Me and My Katamari uses the D-Pad and the four buttons. You should give it a try if you have access to a PSP!

Great review by the way!

Thanks, suspected that was the PSP setup. The PS2 version works with the Dual analog sticks. A mini stick arrangement. I was just hoping that if the PS2 had a D-Pad-Button option, I could have used the modded PSX Blaze Twin Shock. Maybe this might be the ice breaker to convert the old analog Flight Stick.

Reinstalled Katamari Damacy with HDAdvance.
Being a twinstick aficionado, I forgot how fun this little gem is.

Thanks a lot Satoshi, I now want to collect every item Sims style.
Damm all those cute japanese toys and yes I peeked ahead with Action Replay.
Unfortunately no jumping levels with a cheat, have to slug through the fourth star.

Almost as bad as Shenumue gacha collecting . :D
