Now, I have heard rumorss that the dreamcast version is superior to the PS2/Xbox version, is this true? And if so, how so?

Take from these what you will

I have the DC version and loved it.

The Saturn and Dreamcast are usually the best you'll find when it comes to 2-d fighter ports.

Well the game ran on the NAOMI arcade hardware, which is basically a Dreamcast with more memory.
It would only make sense that the Dreamcast version would be a better port, but I can't give you anything else to back it up as I haven't played the others.

I have the PS2 Port, which happens to be on a cd (presenting the possibillity that there was content cut out of the Dreamcast GD-ROMs 1Gig->750Meg) But it isn't likely. However, it is likely that the Dreamcast will run faster due to its higher ammount of ram. I am unsure of the X-Box version.

The Dreamcast game was only about 250-300MB though.

If it is than I didn't know that. I was speaking generally about any port from Dreamcast to Cd on PS2.
