Innovation Entertainment System?

Post by xan_racketBOY_fan »

So I saw this while browsing eBay.

Anyone know anything about it? I'm guessing it's one of those systems you'd see being sold from a small vendor at the mall. Looks interesting.

Innovation makes some weird 3rd party stuff. They made my GCN VGA adapter.

Really? Wow, I've never heard of them. I'm guessing you can plug in actual carts into this thing.

yeah, looks like a NES on a chip built into a N64 (for some reason) controller.

Yeah I have this, it's not the greatest. The video/sound quality is quite terrible. I bought it because it has a 60 pin famicom slot on the back for famicom games. It doesn't have a 72pin for nes games.

I'm loving the 'Innovation' present in making a console which plays another companies games using a rip-off of a different controller. Such amazing creativity in this product XD

Good to know; definitely a novelty I suppose.

Yeah. It's a bootleg NES and they're illegal to sell in Minnesota. I remember hearing the story about a guy who was selling one of these at a mall near us and got thrown in jail

I don't think it's illegal to sell? There's tons of FamiClones out there.

But they don't use an actual N64 controller

The problem is that these devices have actual NES roms games built into them, and they're obviously unlicensed and illegal to distribute
