Meh, normal post '99 Sega. Nearly zero promotion, missed release date, mediocre shell of a game. They should have delayed it until mid spring.

I'd get this, but I'm flat broke at the moment and my parents make jokes when I play games like this. Soon though.

It sounds like someone is holding a gun to Yuji Nakas head while he decides whether or not he wants to jump from the top of a building.

I suspected that this game would be like what most reviews are letting on; average.

In a way I feel like laughing because I know that this game holds quite some significance to you Sega fans and there seems to be a bias for all things Sega here which can sometimes be a little frustrating. But seriously its a bit disappointing really. Beyond games like Virtua Fighter 5 I am really losing hope in everything coming out of Sega and Its kinda sad really. :(

Considering almost everywhere else on the internet has either a Sony or Nintendo bias, finding a forum of remaining fans of Sega is a rarity now. Hearing about the IGN score for this game on NeoGAF led to some' even stating that they though that most of their classic games weren't that great anyway. =/

I think you should feel bad for Sega fanboys! What fanboy has had it any worse the last 8 years? Mean I tell you! J/K

Nights has landed in my home! Yay!
First impressions are pretty decent, it is definitely NiGHTS and the sound effects make me giddy. The graphics of the first level are very nice (best on the Wii next to SMG). There are moments that the framerate dips, but only one part that seemed very graphically intense. Anyway I will be writing up a comparison review to post on here so keep on the look out for that.

Na, I seriously apreciate you Sega fans much more than the other fanboys out there. Even though I have been a long term Nintendo gamer I can't stand the majority of other Nintendo gamers. Some of them are so disrespectful, it really digscusts me.

I kinda wanted (although I didn't want it) Nights to fail so that Sega could actually realize what they are doing to some of their franchises. Actually its exactly like how I feel about the new Super Smash Bros game. I seriously hope it bombs because I know that Nintendo are pathetic with hardware and more specifically online is a big part of that. And if they mess up a 'sacred' SSB game then people will finally sit up and take notice. Which is what they should be doing.

So I guess I feel this way for the same reasons. I dislike the game not because of the game but the culture surrounding it. I seem to be noticing that I'm doing this more frequently now.

Being that I only played the original with the standard controller, it reminds me alot of the first one. I think once I get use to the stages it will be a different game altogether, but for now it is fun but frustrating.

Best part thus far is the timer for that damn clock has been lengthened. No more five seconds as a child before it shows up.

Simple review after playing the first 4 levels.

If you have a Wii loved Nights on Saturn buy this game. It has enough of the style and gameplay and its a good enhancement of the original game idea. The sound is really good and the Wavebird controller is great, I find the sensitivity fine. All the bad stuff in the reviews if true. This is a 7 but for a Nights fan its a 9.

Its no reason to go out and buy a Wii or for anyone new to get into Nights that hasn't played before. The original seems to have a better game design. However this is neat to anyone who played the hell out of the original. I just wish this had come out in 2000 on Dreamcast as a flagship game. It need not be on Wii at all.

Well the Wiimote controls are terrible for me I don't have an extremely good pulse (maybe all the coffee) but with the classic controller feels exactly as the old nights. Except maybe for the boss battles the first boss was like a pinball game you had to push him all the way up. And the graphics are OK yes in some cutscenes it had a huge framedrop. Other thing that did bother me was NIGHTS WAS TALKING!!!!!!! omg now hes has like a personality well not that its bad but for us retrogamers thats kinda creepy, well for me. Besides all that Nights journey of dreams its a beautiful game with a lot of nostalgia in it for hardcore fans (Im sounding like the guys at gamespot :P ) and for those who have never tried it, its a wonderful new experience.
