Well, being 22 myself, I grew up in the 16 bit era and I also agree with the person that said this was the golden age for video games.

As such, my vote has to go to the SNES. Like others have said, a lot of NES games that were great, were updated on the SNES, with a greater advancements made.

Besides, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI, Mario RPG, Earthbound, Zelda III and many more awesome RPGs were on the SNES. Guess what my favourite genre used to be :P

SNES for me. That console has such a soft spot in my heart. I still have mine that I got for christmas when I was a little kid with the box, the manuals and everything. It means the world to me. I think in general, the SNES is better than the NES when it comes to the controller. The NES one is so uncomfortable. Also, there are just a lot more games worth playing on the SNES. While the NES games are generally more affordable, the SNES games are just that much better.

I've never understood the discomfort complaints leveled against the original NES controller. It has never, ever given me any trouble at all. I have several of the dogbone controllers, but I still just use the rectangular ones.

the snes beats xbox 360 any day, it has the best role playing games, fighting games and platformers. besides we all know the ps3 hammers the xbox 360 anyway.

I'm pretty sure slowX2 was being facetious but if not, wow, just wow.

I had lots of fun with my Nes so many memories and hours of gameplay. But when the Snes came out and I played games like Final Fantasy II-III, Donkey Kong Country, Actraiser and so on I was simply amazed.
Thanks everyone...

My very first console was the NES, but it broke not too long after. And since the year was 1992, I decided to move on to the SNES. I can assure you that since the day I got my first one, the SNES remains to bemy absolute all-time favorite. I mean, that damn thing had a plethora of great classics: Mega Man X, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, Street Fighter II, Final Fantasy IV, Chrono Trigger, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Killer Instinct, etc.

The NES also had great games, but the majority of them, unfortunately, are shit. But I would still put the NES over any other console any time, any day!

It's just that the SNES is King -- Long Live the SNES!
