OnLive: now without a subscription fee

Post by J T »

If you have any interest in streaming games through the internet so that you don't need top of the line hardware to play them, then you may be interested in OnLive.

Personally, I never cared very much. However, the subscription fee is now gone and you only pay for access to the games. That's pretty cool.

The good thing about this , is that all it wants is a good connection
and it is gong to work on your ipad, almost any computer, any tv, and if your information is saved online....

You can play your games on the go, for example, COD 5. I can play on my tv, but when I am waiting for something in my car i can open my ipad and it will work, and i can just pick up right where i left from(given that saves are kept stored online)

the problem...
its not possible yet, the technology is not good enough. There WILL be lag

OnLive doesn't interest me at all. However, I wonder how many people will sign up now that the subscription fee is gone?

I wouldn't mind 'renting' games via OnLive, but my ping sucks. I imagine ISP's who throttle their customers wouldn't be too happy either.
