Via FAAD (Free App A Day) Duke 3D is today's featured app, just thought I would get that out there before its gone.

It's manageable but annoying. I would have preferred a virtual analog stick than the weird button setup they went with. I like the game but it is sort of a chore.

It has a slider for everything. Strafe, looking hori, looking vert, movement forward and back. You get use to it and just use the move forward and looking hori, its free so no one can complain, perfect price.

Free is definitely a great price. I usually download iPhone games whenever they are temporarily free, no matter if I think they will be good or not. No harm in trying stuff out!

And this is why I can't take the iphone or ipad seriously as gaming systems. This is like trying to control a greased pig in an ice rink with a leafblower.

Games that were developed with the iPhone in mind work perfectly well. 10-20 year old games shoe-horned onto the device don't.

This is one of the worst control schemes I've ever used on the iPhone. Still, it's free...

Wasted a buck on it already. It's apparently incompatible with my 1st gen iPod Touch.

My iPod Touch can run Time Crisis, crazy good racing games, and stream Netflix videos without messing up... but it can't run an ancient fps.
