Although I am an Apple fanboy

Post by StevieC »

i am genuinely ticked off at Apple for what they did to video output on the newer iPods. I have vowed that my next iPod will be a used 5.5Gen iPod that I will have refurbished through these guys: http://www.rapidrepair.com/ with their hard drive upgrade options and battery upgrade. Note: I do NOT work for them. I can NOT afford their product yet and at this point am only staring and drooling at the thought of a 5.5Gen video iPod with a 120 gig hard drive, 850 mAh (20% more than Apple's stock battery originally installed in these iPods) and a TRANSPARENT faceplate. And it'd be able to play ALL of the iPod games released so far. The newer ones can't play some of the older games. And if you DO have the 5th gen iPod, then i recommend Zuma over Peggle. Also, I _love_ Vortex. I think it is a GREAT game. You can tell they were designing a game specifically for the iPod's input interface, and the game fits the wheel like a glove. And the game's default music is actually quite good. I'm considering starting a thread discussing what a console designed by a collaborating Sega and Apple would look like... *nerdgasm*

Mozgus wrote:Grim over at Toid is correct. Ignore Sonic, because Peggle is the real deal here. $5 for a port of the full version on PC. I beat it and had quite a lot of fun. The scroll wheel is ideal for this.
The guy who wrote about new iPod games are Ars Technica is getting crucified by commentors for making fun of Peggle. I have heard this game is digital crack. The guys on the Game Theory podcast LOOOVE this game. I think for $5, I'll jump on it. I've got an iPod Classic and I have a ton or space to toss a game on there.

How much is the PC version? Be nice if they ported it to xbox live arcade.

Downloaded the Peggle demo. Pretty cool. I can see how it would be addictive. BTW it's only $10 right now form PopCap because they're having a half-off sale. I don't know if I'd play $20 for it but 10 bucks seems more reasonable.

Ugh, don't remind me of that fucking thing. -_-
Was that really that bad? I'm wating for puzzle bobble to come out and then the ipod will be the best portable ever. That plus tempest 2000 and I would be in heaven.

Yeah it's really that bad. I remember being told that there are homebrew Genesis emus for GBA that does a better job.
