Kirby's Avalance is one of the Puyo clones, and is likely too commonly found, between that, Robotnik's mean bean machine, and whatever else have you.
And I guess Columns was, if it isn't anymore, too well-known. It was the pack-in for the US Game Gear also.

i dont have kirby's avalanche, i played it on my flashcart. i didn't know it was a knockoff of another game. and yeah columns isnt that obscure, i had it with my genesis (came on the sega six pack cart) and gamegear

Struggling to think of any others. Puzzle Fighter is great but thats well known. Maybe Hatris on the PC Engine?

I think we'll have to unite both puzzlers and action/puzzlers into one article to get proper length, unless someone has some awesome ideas.
