With a USB Genesis controller, I guess.

But if a USB Saturn controller doesn't work, then a Genesis one wouldn't work either since this firmware update was allegedly made to black 3rd Party USB devices.
It was sarcasm.

Official Playstation Updates Board: http://boardsus.playstation.com/t5/Play ... ps3updates

Just look at the first 3 pages. It's loaded with very angry people. Some are even saying it disabled their actual Dualshock controllers and crashed or killed their PS3's!

Well done Sony... Well done...

That's it now, after seeing how Sony treats their customer base, who in their right mind would purchase Sony hardware? I mean... Removing OtherOS was a real kick in the balls to people like me who used it regularly, but in hindsight it didn't affect that many people. This is likely to affect A LOT of people. So why do it Sony. Why do that to your users? Do you want your customers to boycott your products, because it sure seems that way.

Sony PS3 updates are the absolute WORST. They come way too frequently, take FOREVER, add unwanted or no extra features, break consoles, and DROP FEATURES. And now we have games like the Final Fight Double Impact which REQUIRE you to be logged in which REQUIRES you to download ALL the PS3 firmware updates. What a load of crap....

It has worked great for anything I've thrown at it and would hate to lose its functionality. Anyone else know if it still works with the update?
I just tested mine out. It doesn't work. The four lights just keep blinking as if it can't sync. This really sucks because it was my favorite adapter. Fortunately I have another adapter that works fine (Sumoto).

My findings...

Non-working:
Dealextreme PS2-to-PS3 controller/memory card adapter

Working:
Sumoto PS2-to-PS3 controller adapter
EMS Topgun 2
usb Sega Saturn controller
Madcatz Street Fighter 4 Fightpad (1st generation)
3rd party black Fightpad clone
