I'm sure they don't compare to the ascii pads or an arcade stick, just wondering if they made any difference in fighting games, I remember almost buying one back in the day.
I heard the Z/C buttons don't work as L/R so it's kind of pointless.

I use my HRAP2SA with an Innovation adapter.

Which reminds me. Now that I have the Seimitsu installed, I should pull some of my DC shoot em' ups out and give them a try.

Outside of the actual Arcade Stick, I like the MadCatz DreamPad. There are probably some that'll want to bitch smack me for backing a MadCatz product, but I think they were totally on their game with the Dreamcast and that controller is great. If you have bigger hands, the pad is a great size, too.

Bought the crap outta them when DC was leaving EB stores and I'm glad I did. Hell, I may even track a couple more down for spares. The face buttons map well and I like how the D-pad responds.

I too am looking to get more into fighters, especially on the Dreamcast, and have found this thread very informative.

I use an official Saturn 6-button pad (the smaller version) with an Innovation adapter. It's the most comfortable for me.
