not always. I tried to love Sword Of Mana, but updated graphics just ruined the Final Fantasy Adventure.

You sure it wasn't the myriad of other changes they made?

Also, for the record, the only way to give FFVI better graphics is to let Vanillaware do the graphics. 3D is going to be a downgrade, even if it was made on XIII's engine.

I wonder if there will be transition 3DS games, That play on DS and 3DS, but on the 3DS you would get "bumped up" to 3d. Like the black gameboy carts would be played in color in a GBC but work just fine in an OG gameboy

In Japan the iPhone is FREE! :D Seriously. Sign a 2-year contract and you get it for free~ Roughly $40~70/month - depends if you take the unlimited variable range data plan or strictly unlimited data plan.

I would be all for some of those, it would make for an awesome way to pick up games at a cheaper price and still be able to loan to buddies without one or use myself whenever I didn't want to carry the 3DS on me.

Nintendo's philosophy seems to have changed on the 3DS. Remember when they were about cheap durable technology that was "good enough"? Remember the original Gameboy was about $90 (with a game)? The original Famicom was like $60? Hell even the Wii was the cheapest "next gen" console at $250. I am impressed with the 3DS but damn, $300 sure puts it out of the realm of birthday and Christmas present toy for kids and into the realm of high end electronic device for well off adults, especially when you add games and tax.

PSP's didn't exactly fly off the shelf at $250, no matter how amazing the screen and graphics looked for a handheld.

PSP didn't have Megaman Legends 3.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Nintendo has also always been about actually turning a profit on their hardware sales.

I'm sure the price will come down once the enthusiastic early adopters have theirs. Sadly, I'll probably be one of them.

Yeah, I am already sold on the 3DS. They could charge 500 for the damn thing, I'd still get it.
