another metroid II post - you guys heard about this remake?

i just quickly glanced at the website. but is this an independent project? how will it be released?

i am not a really a fan of remakes because most of the time it is just a visual update. but, this could be good. metroid II on the gameboy was a bitch to navigate through due to the lack of colors and every room looking pretty much the same.

This is an independent project done using an engine designed for making video games on the PC relatively easy. He's not just making a simple visual update, though; a few new abilities from later in the series are being added and the attacks of the later Metroid evolutions is being made more varied.

I clicked on the link, thinking it would be a ROM hack..but no.
