Wonderswan color power question.

Post by Retrozoa »

Hi, I just received a Final fantasy skinned wonderswan color in the mail. I haven't got any games for it yet, but I've noticed that the system isnt powering on. I know most handhelds will at least show a blank screen if you power them on without a game, but the wonderswan doesn't turn on at all. Just wondering if this is a hardware specific thing or I should return it, or even if the system is picky about what kinds of batteries it will take(using polaroid and GP alkaline AA batteries). Thanks in advance.
Current systems: Atari 2600[x2], NES(top loader), SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, Saturn, Dreamcast, Playstation, PS2, PS2 slim, xbox, xbox 360, Turbografx-16, Game Boy Pocket, Game boy SP[x2], Nintendo DS[x2], Nintendo DSi, Nintendo 3DS, Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Wonderswan Color, Neo Geo MVS.

OK, I think this should be an iron rule for all potential WS owners.

You must have a game in to boot on, it will not boot on without game.

If you need to change profile, make sure there is a game cartridge in, and hold "Start" when you turn on.

Oh, ok, thanks. Good to know. I tried searching on info for that but couldn't find any.Plus, I did order some games for it so the system should be useful pretty soon. Appreciate it.

Also (i have the black/white and crystal) if the game does not boot, try removing the game, then inserting again
If that doesn ot work, insert the game and then pull it out 1 millimeter (a little bit)
That should do the trick!
happy wonderswanning.
I got Final Lap Special last week, check it out:

I also do have some WS+C games available, if you wish to check out.

Otherwise you should be able to find Final Fantasy I for under USD $10, and plenty of good games for that price range.
