A Question About PC Video Cards
OK. I have an ATI Radeon HD3200 Video Card, but the game I wanna play needs an ATI Radeon HD3850. Does this mean if I try to play the game, it won't run at all, or will it possibly run on lower settings?

You will be able to get into the game, however the game most likely will run slow even with decreased settings.

Thanks emwearz. Sounds like it's time for an upgrade.emwearz wrote:You will be able to get into the game, however the game most likely will run slow even with decreased settings.

Dragon Age: Origins. I wanted to try out the PC Version, and I read that it needs that Video Card.

Here's what I never got about ATI cards. If 3850 is the minimum, and you want to upgrade on the cheap should you get a $50 3850 or a $40 4350. Damn video card manufacturers and their non-consecutive model numbers.

You get neither because either of those cards will struggle to play Dragon Age. Get a HD5770 and save yourself the trouble of having to upgrade again in 6 months.Hatta wrote:Here's what I never got about ATI cards. The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

What I do is go by price. $200 bucks should by a decent video card at any given time, so find a few card around that price and compare.Hatta wrote:Here's what I never got about ATI cards.
