Well, I have beaten tons of games this year but have neglected to post em :) So for brevity's sake I'll just add the ones I have beaten this year for the first time.

Metroid Prime 2: I've had the trilogy for a bit but have put off playing the second 2. I was hooked right at the beginning with the search for the GF team, but once the dark/light thingy happened it started losing its intrigue.

Metroid Prime 3: I found this much more enjoyable than the second one, and perhaps the first one. The music was fantastic, second in my opinion only to Super. Loved the steampunk world.

Metroid: Other M: I didn't have as much of a problem with it as some others did, but it did take me a while to get into it.

Heavenly Sword: My friend and I beat this one jointly. We traded off every time someone died, and most of the time my friend had the controller. This game proved I suck at modern games.

Bayonetta: Same as above.

Others: Death Smiles, Sol Divide, Trauma Team, Cannon Spike, EarthBound,

The year in gaming so far (games with narrative only):

Radiant Silvergun
Panzer Dragoon
Panzer Dragoon Zwei
Metal Gear Solid
Shenmue II

Next up:

Panzer Dragoon Saga
Panzer Dragoon Orta

Games started that need to be finished: Chrono Trigger, Ecco the Dolphin: DOTF, Skies of Arcadia, Final Fantasy VI, Phantasy Star, and Super Metroid -- then Phantasy Star II, Phantasy Star IV, Xenogears, Suikoden II, ICO, Ikaruga, Ocarina of Time, and Metal Gear Solid 3 sometime after that. This will DEFINITELY bleed into 2011.

I have beaten the second and played through 3/4 campaigns on the PC, still a really fun game, I will have to get hold of the DLC for both of them sometime soon.

First time playing BlazBlue I played through on default settings, its a decent enough fighter, feel like its been getting more hype than it deserves, but solid none the less.

TMHT was awful, and I never want to play it again. While the infamous dam(n) swimming level was annoying, I didn't find it too hard, but the final corridor of the final level killed me about 9 times before I managed to beat it. The laser jetpack guys and robot kangaroos in the final level were tougher to beat than the final boss Shredder.

Unirally on the other hand was fantastic, and I enjoyed it a lot. The gold medal difficulty felt a bit cheap at times, and the final boss unicycle relied on a bit too much luck to beat (as he sometimes reversed your controls which basically caused an automatic loss). However, the game was satisfyingly quick, the stunts were enjoyable to pull off and the game was a lot of fun. It may be a candidate for one of the worst endings ever though.

Oh wow, Beyond Good & Evil was awesome! I'm sad I let this one sit on my shelf so long without playing it. Between the music, the characters, the story, the puzzles, the mix of gameplay styles and genres...I had a lot of fun. While I did have a few small problems with the camera, the game managed to keep me interested just as much for the gameplay as the story. To me, this is a shining example of how good games can be when everything meshes together properly.

While I found this an enjoyable game, it plays better with the interactive puzzles as opposed to the straight maths puzzles, lovely art style, weird story, but all together quite a fun little game.

This also marks the first videogame my girlfriend has ever completed, we both had a save going at the same time, she oddly enough beat me by a few days.

Mega Man 9 was one of the hardest games I've ever played. The enemies weren't all that tough, but the constant death traps had me pulling my hair out on more than one occasion. Felt really good to finally beat it, and although it was VERY difficult, I had a lot of fun with it.

Mega Man 10 was a bit easier, especially since it didn't have nearly as many death traps. However, the enemies were a bit more challenging this time around, and a few of the bosses gave me some trouble.

1942: First Strike was worth the $0.99 I paid for it, but really wasn't all that spectacular of a game. The controls are decent, although nowhere near as good as what Cave has developed for their shooters on the iPhone. The visuals were a bit boring, and the scenery left a lot to be desired. I really wanted to like this more than I do, but there was just too much holding it back IMO.

HookChamp was a lot of fun! The sprites were great, the gameplay was addictive, and the collecting aspect really caught my attention. I'm not great at the game, but I did have fun playing through it. I even bought the DLC character just to support the developer as much as I could! I've moved on to the spiritual sequel, Super Quick Hook, and am enjoying it just as much as HookChamp! Apparently there is a third "hook" game that will be released in October, and I'm really looking forward to playing it.
