Anybody know about this? Is this some patch/hack or is it really in the game and accessible with controller commands?

I only found out about this a few days ago myself. My only theory is that perhaps Summer Carnival '92 was originally planned as a Megadrive game, Nexat soft was screwed out of the deal and went to the Famicom instead?

The Famicom vs Megadrive rivalry wasn't nearly as feirce as it was in North America, otherwise this would make sense as a reverse of the Sega does what Nintendon't advertising campaign.

As far as I know, there's no way to access it outside of a hex editor.
