I'm really glad you liked it.

You guys are kind of a tough crowed about the technical side, but I suppose your right.
Still, I play the game, write the script, get the music, capture the footage, record my voice and then edit it all together all by myself. (every week)
So you gotta give me a little break. I do the best I can lol.

I really appreciate the constructive criticism though. I'm glad that this is the type of board that can have an intelligent discussion instead of just yelling
KARNAAJ RALLY SUX!!!!211!!!. :)

Thanks for all the kind words.

The Logo was made by a Viewer from another forum. It was really nice of them because the old logo was pretty bad.
But like I said the whole show is a work in progress. It'll get better as I go.

Thanks for watching and commenting.

PS car battler Joe looks pretty interesting. I'm gonna have to check it out sometime.

You need to boost the background music and sound. You talked a lot about sound effects and music in the 2nd Street Fighter II episode but I couldn't hear any of it to evaluate for myself. Oddly, I could hear just fine on part 1 about the original Gameboy rendition.

Lol, people complained that the music was too loud on the older episodes, so I reduced the music volume in the newer episodes.

I can't win on this one :)

As far as the sound goes, I don't leave the sound effect in. They make it hard to hear what I'm saying.
Sometimes I will include a part where I don't talk and just let you listen to it, I guess I should have done that here, but the episode was almost 10 minutes already
and that's the max for most of the online video services, so I had to make cuts somewhere.

in the future I'll try to make a better effort to make it so you can hear it.

Also I was offering all the music on the web site for each episode, but I didn't get much response from it so I stopped doing it.

Thanks for watching. :)

PS. sorry the first episode sucked so much lol

Some similar-style reviews I've seen will have a brief pause after commenting on the music and sound, maybe 10 seconds, and boost the music and sound volume. The volume gets knocked back down when it's time to continue speaking the review. Then you win and win some more.

Yeah that's what I said in the second paragraph, I just didn't have enough time left in this episode to do that. :(

The show's still pretty new so I'm still kinda working out all the kinks. Thanks for the constructive criticism.

I really do like the whole "review several related items together" approach. Good stuff!

Thanks, sometimes I do just one game if it's really long or I have a lot to say. (like this week)

But for the most part I'd rather do "themed" episodes that include more than one, because handheld games tend to be short and bit sized. :)

Thanks for watching.

*edit*
This weeks episode is up for those that are interested. :)

I just watched the Street Fighter review(s) so I'll provide my critque for that:

Overall you did a fantastic job and you should be very happy with yourself. I thought that the music was well balanced although as previously mentioned, if you paused and let the game do the talking it would have helped with your point about the bad sound.

I was a little confused with the opening sequence, I though that the consoles were covered in blood instead of them all being joined together by pasta. ^_^ Also some of the video had a frame around it which you might want to crop out. Beyond this though I can't think of much else to suggest. I think that you are on the right track and the more of these videos you make the better they will become.

I'm actually in the process of creating my own video reviews for retro games (for my blog). I would have some out by now if it didn't take me so long to figure out my workflow(I need to capture in MPEG2 in one program, convert to wmv in another, crop out the letterboxed background in another and then edit in another). So hopefully I'll have my first review up before Christmas.

If you're interested (and if my reviews turn out alright) maybe you and I could collaborate some how. Like do a joint review (with opposing opinions) or just affiliate with each other, so that we can both increase our userbase. Anyways, I'm just throwing out ideas. Good work dude, I'll have to look over the other reviews soon.

My advice with video is to convert it as few times as possible to reduce artifacting and quality problems.

You're definitely on to something. Overlooking a few technical details which will surely improve, your reviews seem informative and I will definitely check out more.
