Inspired by gamefaqs exact same poll.
which current system do you think has the best game library today?
Personally I find that this is the most balanced generation ever. Even the PSP, which many people say doesn't have many games, has a good library of games imo (many good and great games, but not any gems that stand out and would make you buy the system. At least that was my experience while I owned one)
Strangely enough, the poll on gamefaqs had xbox first, then the PS3 then the PC and the DS 4th....
Imo the DS has the best library this gen, and unless you are one of those people who can't play games unless they have perfect graphics, I don't think there has been a more successful system in all of gaming.
Soooooo many good games, in so many different genres. Even its FPS games are good.
What is your opinion?

I vote for DS. I think it has the best library this generation.
(And it has Tetris DS. You cannot go wrong with Tetris).

Re: Which current system do you think has the best game library
The problem with the DS is that it's hard to FIND the great games buried under the MOUNTAINS of shovelware. That's all I see when I go into any store that has games, even Gamestop. So naturally, my eye gets drawn to another system's library where I can actually see some quality titles on the wall or shelf
The 360 has way too many shooters and online multi-player nonsense
For me, it's either the PS 3 or PSP.

I don't think I'd be able to claim a 'best'.
Most varied library? DS
Most interesting library? Wii
Most unique exlusives? PS3 (Unique as in UNIQUE interesting games, not sheer numbers.)
Etc, etc.

Where is PS2? It is a system still in production. I think it should be on this poll.

Not this current generation of systems.Arbitern1 wrote:Where is PS2? It is a system still in production. I think it should be on this poll.

I agree, Wii and DS are both plagued by shovelware. But DS still has the best library of games.Gamerforlife wrote:The problem with the DS is that it's hard to FIND the great games buried under the MOUNTAINS of shovelware. In America, PS3. In Japan, XBOX360.
Something funny about that....

I really don't understand how a system having many crappy games affects your decision. If it only had crappy games then I would understand it, but the DS has soooooo many gems.
Besides, if we took away the pretty graphics, how many PS3/360 games would be really good? About the same ratio as the DS imo.
It is only the Wii that gets so much miss treatment from 3rd parties

PC. A lot of the console multiplats are on it, all of the 360 "exclusives" sans Halo are on it, and in theory you have games going back to the 80's. Also, emulators. You have every possible retro library on it.
