Explosionade on XBL Indie Games

Post by dsheinem »

I'm passing this on per request. Nathan Fouts was of course a guest on a prior podcast.

Personally, I think this one looks like a lot of fun.

Hey David!

I'm pleased to announce our new game:
Explosionade. It's just like lemonade, but with EXPLOSIONS.
It's will be coming to Xbox Live Indie Games within a week!

Here are some screenshots for your loving readers:

We'll have a trailer ready by mid-week.

-----
Explosionade:

All your friends are storming the Horronym Fortress but Colonel Bouche left you to guard the supply depot. Disregarding orders you open the depot to find a gigantic, prototype mech!

* INFILTRATE subterranean strongholds manned by cunning bipedal aliens and their mind-blasting hellions!
* Recharging MegaNades, and an earth-shaking machine gun rip DESTRUCTIBLE environments to hand-drawn bits!
* Dozens of CHALLENGE-ROOM style gameplay with a zoom function that let's in you close or zooms out to see all the action!
* 2-PLAYER COOP so you can share the alien-stomping, grenade tossing joy!
* ONLINE High Scores to show off your skills!
* Hand-drawn, silky-smooth effect animations just like Mom used to make! (If your mom was SNK)

Thanks!
Nathan

And as I told Nathan, I love the name :)

It looks kinda Metroid-ish, don't it? (not a bad thing)

My first thought too.
JT wrote:Yeah, like vampire aliens invade and hit us all with a ray beam that paralyzes all of our arms. The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

Shoot1Up was a blast, so I'm really looking forward to this one.
