What's with all the topic locking?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

What's with all the topic locking?

Post by marurun »

I swear, it's like the mods just now discovered they could lock topics and are trying to over-compensate ;)

I think it is kind of weird to. I can understand lordofducts lock.
But this one is kind of ridiculus.

I noticed that too, I wanted to share my thoughts on good nes games as ones I do not like are different from those listed in rackets guides.

All the topic locking? That's the only one I did in months. Don't take it as an insult.

I haven't noticed that much topic locking... accept for mine... but as nocturnalnerd said, mine has more insentive. Really I've hung at other forums where topic locking is a common thing (the XNA forums is really bad about it).

I think I've locked 2 in total including the thread from earlier about Amanda... I have certainly deleted quite a few, but they were mostly spam posts and repeat posts that about it. I'm a pretty leniant mod, I don't have a lot of concern about what is discussed as long as it isn't to out of context. Basically meaning if it is against the law, or commercial. I am a guy who used to work for an adult oriented website and all... not much offends me.

I actually unlocked mine due to this thread and Moz's response.

If you really want to join back in on that conversation... yey, I didn't think it was that exciting. My personal life really shouldn't be that fun.

But you're a hero to all of us.

We gave her more help than she probably expected. Those articles by Racket are fucking perfect for the casual buyer. A new person coming by and posting 1-3 games each without any real explanation to their choices will not help her at all. The thread served no purpose past that initial link.

Besides, girls shouldn't get some kind of special treatment.
