Mine are

"Once the game is over, the King and the pawn go back in the same box."

"Health is not valued till sickness comes."

and

"He who is not very strong in memory should not meddle with lying."

what's yours?

Every hand's a winner and every hand's a loser. The best you can hope for is to die in your sleep.

C'mon, Yoda? Venkman? Really?

After reading Being and Nothingness I realized that all the excuses I make for myself are simply bad faith. This really changed the way I think about myself and my relation to the world around me. I am actually more free than I realize, if I choose to be.

More recently, someone asked me, "what are you searching for?" This wasn't exactly advice, but it made me think. What am I searching for? If I decide on a clear goal, I might just get what I'm searching for both in the short term and in the long term.

"If you aim for the moon, you will reach somewhere between the sky and there, so aim for Mars so you make it to the moon and beyond"

basically to never limit my goals to what would satisfy me, but to try for whatever is the best result possible
