while snowboard kids is fun, i would say 1080 is the best for N64.

Can't argue with that. I was honestly more upset about the live service ending for that than any other game.

I wish this franchise would get a fourth entry, I really do.
Don't that just look oh so tasty?

The original 1080 was easily the best for its time, and it still holds up today. It's difficult to define the "best" snowboarding game as so much is based on individual preference-realism or arcade. If you want a realistic experience, I'd recommend Stoked, Amped 1-2, and the original 1080. As for arcade style you can't beat the SSX series (which is just begging for a ps3/360 release).

Snowboard kids games are pretty good. I don't think I've played many other snowboarding games. Trickstyle for dreamcast is cool too. . . my copy doens't work anymore.

My personal favourite is SSX Tricky. I can't really get into 1080 - it just seems a bit plain, I mean, racing against 1 other person? that's kinda dull, no?
Snowboard Kids is also a lot of fun, but is obviously less realistic.

By far, my favorite snowboarding game is 1080 snowboarding; it was only $5 at Gamestop when I got it! I really want to see a sequel on Wii, since it would be a day 1 purchase for me;)

You've been spoiled by the SSX series. Before them, 1080s main rival was cool boarders. Which go be honest, compared to 1080, is pretty poor. Then SSX came out and rewrote the rules for snowboarding games.

Amped 2 is still my favourite snowboarding game though. It's like Skate compared to Tony Hawk. Amped 2 is the snowboard version of Skate whereas SSX is Tony Hawk.

I still remember the first time I did a 1080 on 1080 Snowboarding. I was so fucking happy. They're really hard to do as well.
