2nd post. It's still my contention that (relatively speaking) MW3 remains the best mech game ever made. The likes of Virtual On, Gundam and ZoE offer robots that are impossibly nimble, which imho has become old hat. Big robots are supposed to be lumbering hulks of steel that leave inconceivable mayhem and destruction in their wake, and not be some absurd fashion statements (Shame on you Sega for this blatant fanservicing)General_Norris wrote:No Mechwarrior? It's a fast paced arcade-like mech simulator. It has simple objectives, a lot of stuff to dodge and blow up, and always feels really smooth and solid. Your mech is fairly quick and can meneuver well but still feels heavy and has weight to it. The only issue with the game might be control schemes. The first person control scheme uses the analog sticks but the aiming is inversed and you can't change it. It's a pain in the ass and hard to get used to. I ignored it completely and used the control scheme that uses the face buttons to meneuver. I think it's much better than any of the options and the most fun to play with. You have more control and it's simpler than re-learning how to aim. It also gets you out of the first person shooter mindset. When you do get the controls down the game is fun as hell. Easily worth more than $3.

I second this. I bought this earlier this year and it IS the best mech game. The controller is what makes this game. Get it!aaron wrote:steel battalion. hands down. seriously an incredible game. wish i had the space for a set up again.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

If you can run Crysis then you need to get Mechwarrior Living Legends for it: http://www.mechlivinglegends.net/

Not the type of games I'm an expert on, but I really enjoyed Zone of the Enders 2. One of my fave games of all time and Hideo Kojima's best work in my opinion. Unlike his overdone Metal Gear Sold games with their convoluted stories, gimmicks and other nonsense, Zone of the Enders 2 is all about awesome, fun gameplay
