Best Mecha games?

Post by Flake »

In a real mecha mood lately. Finding Super Robot Wars OG 2 for cheap yesterday probably has a lot to do with it.

What are some great Mecha games that every big-robot fan should have in their library?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Mech Warrior series. Here's the latest game. There's also the Lore series. You can play Lore: Aftermath on InstantAction.

I've seen that for about $3, I think. I passed it up because the price was just too low. What is it like?

Last mech game I played much of was Phantom Crash. It got pretty repetitive after awhile, but it's a interesting idea and pretty fun.

This site has everything you need to know: http://www.mechadamashii.com/

The highest rated game on the site is Armored Core 3: Silent Line. But he seems to review things on the basis that mech games should feel all simulatey. So like, Bangai-o and Zone of the Enders don't really even count.
My game-related blog.

Silent Line is highest rated? I could come to like this site. That was probably the very last Armored Core game that I liked. Ugh, Nine Breaker...

Thanks!

I've always been a big fan of the Armored Core series. Armored Core 2 is the one I played the most of, and I like it a lot. But every game in the series that I've played has been good.
I'm known as ZebetiteGlitch or Zeza Von Thantos on other platforms.
