PS3 Move

Post by lost_within »

I am sure there is a topic on this, and if not...spill it here all you want. But my topic is based around first hand reviews. I preordered my bundle with an extra controller awhile back, and then picked it up after work today. As of right now I am still letting my controller charge, and installing all the demos. *bundle pack came with a demo cd, and the sports game*

SO! my question, while I am waiting...has anyone played it today yet? Is it going to be great or just really piss me off? They really could have put in a bracket or some double sided tape for the camera...kinda had to rig mine up my own special way. Anyway, thoughts?

So you DID play it? Was it way more ....personal? than the wii?

I just love that disc golf is on the sports game. Anyone that knows me on a personal level knows I play...3-5 times a week, and have a HUGE bag. There were a few on wii but they all felt so far apart between the player and the controles.

Little big planet 2 is going to use it, which should be kinda cool. I would love to see a first person shooter, its a shame they dont try to put it into call of duty black ops, but that could also ruin a game I am REALLY looking forward to after this MW2 crap they just did.

I thought it was personally much better than most Wii titles. Yeah, I did play it just haven't bought it yet. I may get it once Little Big Planet 2 releases since that looks promising I hope. I will get Move eventually once I have a decent amount of games to invest in playing. :)

Good to know, I always felt the wii left a huge gap between motion controlles and the player. Granted they did make the idea, but from what I have seen xbox 360 and the ps3 are trying to take it to the level I always hoped the wii would grow to be. But even with the extra motion controller add on deal, the wii still left me feeling left out of the game.

I just hope that M$ and $ony dont try to go 100% motion and forget about hardcore games. We dont need more shovelware on the shelves but more good games.

Gonna start playing after I eat, hopefully it doesnt anger me...you wont like me when I am angry....

Yeah just like DaKinggamer87, I plan on getting the move when more games that interest me come out that use it. Although I am very anxious to see how Resident Evil 5 works with the move since I loved that game (but I need to buy the Gold Edition when I already have the standard edition to use the move .... FUCK!!!) :x . I dont think Socom 4 comes out till next year anyway so there really isnt any rush for me to pick up the move at the moment. Maybe I'll pick it up when LBP2 drops in November.

Son is a Modern Warfare junkie. Socom is why he is curious about move.
A smart "move" to wait and see how controller plays out.

Well, when the camera actually picks you up playing, I love how on the screen it looks like you are literally holding whatever it is in the game, but...time to start playing then I will give my feedback on it.

Currently have no games that support Move, but I am interested in it. I've had the PSEye since Eye of Judgment, so all I need is the controller. I'll just wait until I can find one at a discounted price.

I do, at the very least, plan to get the new Time Crisis game.

the time crisis game was really cool, be alot more fun when the guns come out just so you dont feel odd holding the controller and aiming.

I just ran thru some of the games, the disc golf is WAY better than anything wii has. The controller felt really good once it was setup for each game. I like the fact that the games make sure you are lined up in the right area everytime. Granted, it takes...15 seconds out of game play, but nice to know its on point before every game. The only time it thru me off was not being able to calibrate the 2nd controller for the bow game like I wanted, had to oddly aim upward which I am sure was my fault. All in all, really fun. Even the party game demo was fun, and I am far from a party game kinda guy. I could see this going over well, as long as they dont try to make EVERYTHING around it. Same games dont need it, it doesnt need to be a joke, or a "32x", hopefully they keep things in line.
