I could buy a 40GB PS3 with hackable firmware for $200. Should I go for it?
Normally I don't buy consoles until there $100, but there may be a short window where hackable PS3s are available used. Or someone might blow the PS3 wide open in the near future. Hard to decide.

Personally I would wait unless you have the time/desire to play PS3 games now. There will always be hackable consoles available for sale now and in the future.

Oh, maybe you're right. I do have a ton of shit to play already. 
I just worry that the new firmware won't get hacked and consoles with older firmware will get scarce and expensive.
