how do you save games on the Turbografx-16

Post by floatingyeti »

maybe this is a stupid question but i see no memory card slot (except for maybe the hucard slot) and i know the expansion port is for the cd attachment, so how do i save my games? if the hucards themselves can hold save info, i don't know how to do it. do i have to swap the hucard for a memory card when i want to save my score on Alien Crush. I'm confused.

It requires some extra hardware. Look at Racketboy's guide.

TurboChips/Hucards don't include batteries. It would mar those sleek lines. You have to have a save peripheral like the Turbo Booster Plus or CD-ROM attachment. Duos include save memory.

As for where I store my games? In a plastic collectible card case, stacked :)

it seems like buying a turbo duo is the only way to go. the expansions are so expensive and hard to find buy by themselves thats its actually easier just to spend near $200 for a turbo duo.

That's the conclusion I've come to. 2008 is the year I make it happen!
