Basically, was wondering if it would be at all possible to take the IR components from the Dingoo controller and transplant them into an NES controller? Just would be awesome to use a genuine NES controller while playing the Dingoo NES emulator on my TV.
Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A bit of a complicated process just to emulate NES on a TV.

Yeah, I figured.
It's more about having a portable NES that I can hook up to a TV and take on the go as well.
The FC Mobile II is another option for a portable NES that'll hook up to a TV, and it's okay - but won't work with all games or the Retro USB NES PowerPak. And the FC Mobile II IR controllers are crap.

Anyway, if you were asking if it was possibly, yes, it should be.
The way you would do it would be to take out all electrical components from the NES controller out. Then you would take out everything from the Dingoo controller. Desolder the Dpad and buttons from the Dingoo electronics and solder those wires to the respective spots on the NES controller buttons.

I guess the tricky part would be to make sure everything would fit and that I could get the IR sensor to have enough of a "window" to see the sensor on the Dingoo. Because I would be putting the innards of the Dingoo controller in the NES controller, I could take off sensors, leads that go to buttons I wouldn't use (L1, L2, analog, etc). Guess I'll have to open the Dingoo controller and see what I'm working with. Thanks for the input.slowslow325 wrote:Anyway, if you were asking if it was possibly, yes, it should be.
