I was going to suggest the N64/GBC versions of this game, Pokemon Puzzle League and Pokemon Puzzle Challenge. Two very addictive games, one with awesome portability and both with the awesomeness of Pokemon.

Seriously, get at least one of those three, you won't regret it.
but the7k already said Panel De Pon, which is the same thing as Tetris Attack, Puzzle League, and Pokemon Puzzle Challenge.

Yoshi's Cookie and Wario's Woods are both pretty fun games if you ask me.

i would just like to add that Panel De Pon (and it's many names) is the best Addicting Puzzle Game i've ever played. 8)

really? I like it, but I never got "sucked in." To be fair, I don't think I'm that good at it, so maybe that's part of it. Super Puzzle Fighter is my personal favorite. That's a game that just clicked with me big time. Also lately I've been wicked into Hexcite. That's definitely in my Top 10 Puzzlers.

Tetris 2. It's more like Dr. Mario than Tetris.

Dr. Mario. Of course.

Yoshi. For NES. I don't usually like puzzle games, but there's something about this one that I really enjoy.

Bubble Bath Babes. On NES. This game is addictive, but it might not be because of the gameplay......

Puzzle Boy. There are too many "puzzle games" that just amount to quick reflexes in matching colors or shapes. Here is one puzzle game where you can stare at a level for hours, trying dozens of different ways to reach your goal, making no progress. Then, somewhere deep in your brain, a flash of insight goes off and you complete the level as if it were nothing. That's what really makes a puzzle rewarding.
